Set the long dark-wood tables end to end for a seated brunch, or break them into smaller clusters for a garden-style tea party. The room holds 15 to 50 guests, so a close-knit shower of twenty feels just as right as a full house of forty. Whitewashed brick and natural light from the barn doors on Guild St do a lot of the work before you add a single centerpiece.
String lights and macramé already hang from the exposed brick, so the room reads finished the moment guests walk in. Hosts have told us the same thing after their own showers: they expected to spend hours dressing the space and found they barely needed to.

The open-vendor day: your caterer, your baker, your florist
Brick + Laurel runs an open vendor policy, so you choose your own caterer, baker, and florist instead of picking from a required list. Your caterer sets up at the bar area and the grazing table, plates from the full-sized fridge, and works the room the same way they would in their own kitchen.
Your florist has a large sink built for prepping flower vases, so arrangements can be finished on site rather than hauled in already wilting. Vendors typically arrive an hour or two ahead of your guests, and the open floor plan means a baker's cake table and a florist's centerpieces never compete for the same corner.
Chapter 03
Henna and Mehndi celebrations
The same room that hosts a brunch shower turns easily into a henna or Mehndi celebration. Low seating clusters around the lounge corner give an artist room to move from guest to guest, and the natural light through the barn doors is kind to photos of finished hands.
Because the space rents by the hour with a four-hour minimum, a henna gathering can run at its own pace without the pressure of a tight rental window, and the bar area keeps drinks and snacks close without crowding the artist's setup.
Decor that starts already in the room
